Sudborough, located about 3 miles north west of Thrapston, is in the heart of the ancient Rockingham Forest and was recorded in the Domesday Book as Sutberg.

The All Saints Church in the centre of the village (shown in the picture) dates back to the 13th Century.

To the East of the village, on the road in from the main A6116 coming from Thrapston, is an old circular Toll House with a conical roof. This house marks the line of the old Toll Road.

The Conservation Area at Sudborough extends from the Manor House in the West to the Round House in the East - the majority of the dwellings in the village - and there are 24 entries on the list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest.

In 1991 the population was 138 in 76 houses: the mid 1995 estimate was the same.

Sudborough is served by a public house, a village hall, a Riding School, and is visited by a number of mobile services. A bus service operates to Corby and Thrapston.
